Father and daughter on the ferry to Cortes Island... we made a flying two day visit with a U-Haul truck to take a load of stuff from Vancouver. We drove up on Tuesday, spent Wednesday unloading and meeting folks on the island to discuss work on the project and then we left early this morning (Thursday). It was a very smooth trip and a lot of fun!
Brothers! David Rousseau and I have been friends for almost 40 years. David lives on Cortes Island and is an architect with an incredible depth of knowledge and expertise in energy efficient and environmentally friendly architecture. Needless to say, he will be designing our house.
The burn pile was made up of branches, stumps, the old horse barn and anything else that was burnable. With the help of David's "Tiger Torch" it was not hard to get a good blaze going.
