With our house at May's Garden safely put to bed for the winter, I am now back in beautiful Burnaby (suburb of Vancouver) for the winter months. Our condo here is very cosy and I am busy gathering bits and pieces to take up to Cortes on our next visit, which looks like it will be in a couple of weeks.
So today, being a lovely sunny one, I took a walk along the Fraser riverside trail just south of where we live in Burnaby. The fall leaves are magnificent both in colour and smell -- I love that rich musty smell!
Musically, life is good too. Danielle and I did a feature set at the Vancouver Folk Song Society last night and were very well received. It's a great folk club and one we've been involved with it for almost 30 years! Now, it's time to focus on my next gig at The Tipper on December 1st. This will be the highlight of my musical year as I will be playing with my pal Paul Bergman on bass and a new fiddle player named Tegan. Exciting times!
On a final note... Go Obama!
